Welcome to the WOC 2022 in Paris, France!

Dear WOC 2022 players!

It is a great pleasure to welcome you all to the World Othello Championship 2022 in Paris!

This championship in Paris was planned to be played in 2020, but as you know it has been difficult to arrange international events the last 2 years. But even though it is still players that live in countries with restrictions in travelling, there are more than 90 players registered for WOC 2022. And among them there are 20 youth players from 13 countries.  

There have been a lot of possibilities to play Othello online the last 2 years, and many of you have participated in tournaments arranged by both WOF and other Othello players. But I know that many of you look forward to meeting Othello-friends again and sit down at a real table and play Othello.  

I hope we all will have 4 memorable days in Paris together, and I wish you all a safe travel to Paris and look forward to meeting you all.
